Membership Policies & Information
Membership is non-transferable, and non-refundable. Membership includes free use of the facility, including the gymnasium, indoor pool, fitness center, and recZone. When purchasing a Lititz recCenter membership using the EZ Pay Plan, you are committing to a one year membership. Fee changes for members using the EZ Pay monthly option go into effect September 1 of the current year. After completing the first year, a seven business day written notice is required to cancel.
Members who wish to rejoin are advised that a joiner's fee will be assessed to all memberships that lapse for more than 30 days.
A prorated fee is applied for the first month of membership as follows: (days in current month-current date) + 1)/30.
Participation in recreation or competitive activities entails some risk of injury. The rec does not provide medical or accidental injury insurance coverage and is not responsible for your lost, stolen, or misplaced items. We reserve the right to suspend and/or dismiss a member, without refund, for unsuitable, destructive or criminal behavior. Abuse of your membership can result in revocation without refund.
Your ID Card
Members 11+ years of age are issued a membership card. Your membership card is your key to accessing the Lititz recCenter. Please have your card ready to scan at our front entrance. We realize that cards can be lost, stolen, or mutilated. The replacement cost for your membership card is $5.00.

Open Gym Use
Gym rules are posted. Please read and abide by them. Rules will be strictly enforced. Recreation policy is structured to allow maximum "open activity" time for our members. Please see the gym calendar for any dates where the gym is closed.
Locker Use Policy
Lockers are available for use while in the gym and pool area. The recCenter will not be responsible for articles lost, misplaced or stolen. Lockers are not equipped with locks. To provide added security, members must bring their own locks. All locks must be removed at the end of each use period.
Kit Locker Rental
Kit lockers are located outside the Fitness center. These lockers are available for rent on a fist come , first serve basis. The recCenter will not be responsible for articles lost, misplaced or stolen. the locks and keys will be supplied by the recCenter. All locker rental will end on December 31st, and there will be NO partial year rentals. If you are interested in a Kit locker rental, please see Member Services for more information.
Lost and Found
These items are kept at the front desk aproximately two weeks before they are taken to a donation center.
Parking
Parking is available for our members and patrons. Please honor the handicapped spaces and do not park in the fire lane outside the main entrance doors.
Member's Code of Conduct
The Lititz recCenter is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests. To promote general safety and comfort for all, individuals are asked to act appropriately when in our facility or participating in our programs. We expect persons using the Center to act maturely, to behave responsibly, and to respect the rights and dignity of others. Our Member's Code of Conduct outlines prohibited actions, but the actions listed below are not an all inclusive list of behaviors considered inappropriate in our facilities or programs.
The following are prohibited on the Lititz recCenter premises, including grounds and building:

All tobacco products because the property is smoke free. All cigarettes are to be placed in an ash tray, not onto the ground.

Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, & drug paraphernalia

Carrying or concealing all weapons, knives, firearms, ammunition, all incinerary devices, and any other device that uses a projectile

Harrassing, threatening, intimidating, or offensive behavior/body language

Theft or behavior that results in defacing or destroying property/equipment

Profanity, vulgarity, or loud boisterous shouting, name calling, and swearing

Loitering within or on the grounds of the Center

No gambling
The recCenter Staff are eager to be of assistance. Members and guests should not hesitate to notify a Staff member of any violations. Any violation is subject to criminal prosecution or disciplinary action up to and including cancellation of membership.
Partnership Membership
Through contributions from local businesses and community members, Lititz recCenter makes free or reduced-fee memberships and programs available to families, youth, seniors, and adults in the Lititz area who may be in need of financial assistance. These "Partnerships" give every member of our community access to Lititz recCenter programs and facilities. "Partnerships" are available each year. Applications for "Partnerships" for membership or programs are available at the Customer Service Desk, and a Scholarship Coordinator is available to discuss individual needs and answer questions.

Participants/Children must be members to qualify for member program rates.
Inclement Weather - What you need to know!
It is each department Director's decision whether to cancel a class, program, or swim lesson due to bad weather. Please call the Directors extension directly to hear information on cancellations or delays.

Building closures will be announced on the automated telephone by pressing #1 for building hours, delays and closings, then press #4 for delays and closings. Closing information will also be available on WGAL channel 8 website and news station channel 21 WHP*CBS Stormwatch on air and online, as well as the Lititz rec website.
