Q: What is the difference between preschool and youth swim lessons?

A: Preschool is for 3-6 year olds and the lessons are a half hour in length.  Instructors teach according to the level of the students.

Q: Will my child learn to swim in one session?

A: Children learn skills associated with the class they are enrolled. Each child learns at his or her own pace and in most cases does not learn to “swim” in just one session.

Q: How many lap lanes are available?

A: Early morning hours are dedicated to lap swimmers, and all other hours, 2 lap lanes are available.

Q: How do I know if my child is ready to move to the next class?

A: The instructor is available to discuss your child after class. A certificate is also given at the end of the session giving you information on the skills that have been learned.

Q: What is the temperature of the pool water?

A: The pool water is 83 degrees.

Q: Are the instructors certified?

A: Yes, all of our instructors are certified. Swim instructors are certified in the American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Course. Aquatic Fitness Instructors are certified by an accredited fitness organization.

Q: Is there a lifeguard on duty at the pool?

A: Yes, we have a certified lifeguard on at all times.
