Summer Swim Lessons
During the summer Lititz recCenter offers swimming lessons at the Lititz Springs Swimming Pool in the morning, Monday thru Friday, for two weeks.
Lititz Springs Pool
The Borough of Lititz is graciously allowing us to use Lititz Springs Pool for our summer swim lessons in the morning. Please help us show our appreciation by observing the following rules:
- Please do not bring food on the pool grounds.
- The baby pool is not open during swim lessons.
- Please arrive at your designated time and wait on the grass.
- Please dry off and exit the pool grounds when the swim lesson is finished.
- Please do not park in the circle in front of the pool. That area is for emergency vehicles only.
- Please do not litter. Leave the property the way you found it.
- Please do not let anyone on the pool grounds who is not there for swimming lessons.
Bad Weather Policy
We never cancel a lesson for bad weather. Swim lessons will be indoors at the Lititz recCenter Pool if the garage door at the Lititz Springs Pool is down.
Swimming Lessons Guidelines
In order to provide a high quality program for your child, we ask that you observe the following rules:
- Please observe the classes from the grass or pavilion. No one is allowed on the deck around the pool.
- Please do not interrupt the class. We have scheduled 5 minutes around the class for you to talk with the instructor.
- Please do not automatically expect your child to pass from one level to another in one set of lessons. Each individual is created differently-some need a little more practice than others. If you would like to help speed up the process, practice the skills learned in the class with your youngster.
- Have your child use the bathroom before lessons begin.
- An adult responsible for your child must be on the property at all times.
- Please remove all band aids.
- No gum.
- Please do not feed your child immediately before swimming lessons.
The Lititz recCenter wishes to thank the Borough of Lititz, Mr. Andrew Amway and the Lititz Springs staff for their cooperation and for letting us use the Lititz Springs Pool for swimming lessons. We appreciate their help and generosity!
