EBKC and ASK
During the school year, we offer a DPW licensed before and afterschool child care program in each of the elementary school cafeterias. The before school program operates from 6:40-8am for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Included in the weekly fee is breakfast, which is provided by the Warwick School District.

The afterschool program operates in the schools from 2:30-6pm for children in Kindergarten-3rd grade. Children enrolled in 4th,5th,6th grade are bussed to the Lititz recCenter. In this program, children engage in homework time, active play, fun activities and snacks. There are part-time contracts available for children who may be picked up by 4:00pm and the full-time contract allows children to attend from 2:30pm up until 6:00pm.

Summer Child Care
During the summer break, we offer school-age care at the Lititz Church of the Brethren for children who attend Beck and Bonfield El and have completed 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. A summer program is also offered at the Lititz El school for children who attend that school and Kissel Hill El. and have completed 1st, 2nd and third grade. Children from all schools who have completed 4th, 5th, 6th grade are provided a summer program located at the LRC.

The summer program includes field trips, daily swimming, snacks and fun, exciting events and activities!

Special and Snowy Day Camp
When school is closed due to holidays, inclement weather, etc, care is offered at the LRC for children who need care. We provide a program for all ages as long as child is registered for these special camps. There is a part-time and also a full-time rate for this camp. Children are provided morning and afternoon snacks, but must bring their own lunch. Swimming is available for those children who want to jump in the pool!

RecKids Preschool and Kindergarten Program

We offer care for children 3-6 years old at the Lititz Church of the Brethren all year round.

During the school year, preschool hours of operation are 6:40am-6pm Monday-Friday. The Kindergarten Program operates from10:45am-6pm and children are bussed from their elementary school to the church.

During the summer, hours are 6:40-6pm for all children ages 3 through the completion of Kindergarten. Children engage in field trips, walks, fun activities, swimming and so much more!

Staff Qualifications
All of our programs are licensed by DPW and staff meet all qualifications. Child Care staff have completed all trainings required such as FBI, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks.

All staff receive annual trainings in water and fire safety as well as First Aid/CPR.

In addition, staff attends professional development trainings, throughout the year to enhance their programs and gather new ideas to share with our children!

Currently, there is 22 staff that works daily at the sites, with over 192 years of experience in the LrC's Childcare Progarams.

Beck staff have 30 years of exper, Lititz Ele. staff have 26 years, Bonfield has 19 yrs, OKC has 49 yrs, Kissel Hill has 35 yrs, and Pals has 33 years.

Our programs participate in the Highmark “SPARK” program which promotes healthy lifestyles in our youth. Each week, the children engage in fun, active play that gets them moving! Activities include games, dance, obstacle courses, and sports.

We have recently received a grant from Cargill to incorporate more healthier snacks in our programs. Each week, children enjoy fresh fruits and veggies to help provide the energy boost they need for all the busy activities they do with us!

During Special and Snowy day camps our children get a chance to enjoy the super pool we have at the rec! During the summer, our Kindergarten children also get a weekly swim lesson from our experienced Aquatic staff as part of the program. The school-age children get to enjoy an hour of free swim time every day!
